Ayurveda and You

Once a person becomes knowledgeable about the various aspects of this system, visits to the family doctor will be less frequent.Ayurveda classifies the human constitution into three essential parts: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

Vata Vata is the energy associated with movement. It controls functions like blood circulation, breathing, blinking and the heart beat. When Vata is balanced, there is creativity and flexibility, but when out of balance, Vata produces fear and anxiety.

Pitta Pitta is the energy associated with the body's metabolic system. It governs digestion, absorption, nutrition and body temperature. A balanced Pitta promotes understanding and intelligence. Unbalanced Pitta can cause ulcers and provoke anger.

Kapha Kapha - is the energy that forms the body's structure (bones and muscles). It supplies water to all parts of the body, moisturizes the skin, and maintains the immune system. In balance, Kapha is expressed as love and forgiveness. In imbalance, Kapha leads to greed and envy.

Ayurveda Balance Life

All human beings have Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, but usually any one energy form is dominant. This is due to many factors that upset the balance, like stress, unhealthy diet, weather conditions and strained family relationships.
