The Second International Ayurveda Congress was organised by the Cholayil Ayurvedic Health and Research Academy from November 11-13, 2005 at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. The Congress attracted over 2500 global participants, drawn from renowned practicing Ayurvedic Doctors, academicians, research scholars, apart from representatives of modern medicine systems.
The forum had guest lectures from Eminent Medical Faculties in various relevant subjects like Vatavyadhees & Vatashonitha (Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Neurological disorders, other Rheumatic complaints), Marma & Asthija rogas ( Marmam, different Orthopedic conditions), Sthree rogas ( Gynaecological disorders), Netra rogas ( Eye diseases), Auto immune disorders, Research Methodologies and IPR with special focus on Ayurvedic Management of Life style Disorders.
There was also an educative and exciting demonstration of Panchakarma and Yoga in the pre-congress workshop on 10th November, 2005. Apart from this, the congress also included a Medicinal plants exhibition, with more than 300 endangered species on display. An important feature of the conference was a 'paper presentation' competition for young ayurvedic doctors and research students. The winner received a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 10,000.00
